EDIT- Music that is copyrighted is acceptable.
It only said music, and for future reference and a little more clarity you may want to change that.

randomparrot - I understand, I have resources and software that aren't normally available to the true amateur, so they might give me an unfair edge. It is a little difficult for me, as I am in a sort of limbo, not good enough to compete with the likes of NightOwl, LOTL, Smeagol etc, but not really an amateur either. I have several ideas for films in my head at present, so I have enough to keep me busy anyway

At least during the original discussion, the only brickfilmers prohibited from entering were those who hadn't placed third or higher in any contest yet, but maybe that's changed since then. You'd think that defining who was allowed to enter a contest would be important enough to mention in the announcement...

Yeah I came second with my first ever film. In fact some people reckon I should have won, but I was pretty happy with 2nd. So I take it that my 2nd place disqualifies me, that is fine. Totally understand.
I might make a time/related film anyway just for S**** and giggles. I have a plot in my head for one, so it may be get done, you never know.

It may well have. Don't go by me. But I don't remember seeing any updated official contest definition of "amateur" anywhere, so I threw that out there.
